Garnier Olia Dark Brown

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this hair dye. It didn't have a horrible strong smell like others I've tried and it also managed to cover my long thick hair really well. The grey hairs which I have are completely covered and my hair feels soft and healthy instead of the usual dry feeling it can sometimes have after using some dyes. There is a pop out bit in the box to use for holding the hair dye bottle which was really handy and the applicator nozzle is longer than others which also made it easier to use (I struggle with the shorter ones as my hair is so thick) I would definitely use this dye again and the dark brown matches my natural hair colour really well.

I have been using this product for close to two years now and it is still my favorite hair dye to use. I use the shade Intense Deep Red, and I constantly get compliments on my hair color. \nI find the product easy to apply, and easy to wash out after it has developed. The dye doesn't have a strong chemical smell commonly found with hair dyes, and is fairly easy to wash out after it has developed. \nThe only negative I have found is that I do still get color coming from my hair for a week or two after application, but I find that common particularly with red shades so I would still say this is a 5-star hair dye. Definitely recommend! \n

Until recently I was colouring my hair very regularly. Olia was my go-to box dye. Naturally I'm a dark blonde - light ashy brown and my favourite shade in Olia was 8. I find this easy to use, it doesn't stink and the result is soft, shiny hair. Hair stays soft too, as long as you do root touch-ups rather than continuously applying all over. The included conditioner is amazing. I wish I could buy it separately! I always received compliments on my hair from hairdressers so that must say something. This is a great product when used correctly and when you don't stray too many shades from your natural colour. Highly recommended.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I decided to try Garnier Olia dye as since I had my baby my hair has been dull and lifeless. I went with the dark brown to go back to my natural colour. This dye has given my hair a great shine. The coverage is fantastic although for long hair I would definitely recommend two boxes. I absolutely love the conditioner! My hair feels so smooth. I also have psoriasis in my scalp and found it to be really gentle on my skin and it caused me no irritation at all. The dye is pretty runny so make sure you are in the bathroom or your walls will be a splash zone like mine! I would definitely recommend this dye for dry hair like mine and will be using it again in the future. Enjoy!

Enough product for long hair

I have thick, coarse, dark hair with some obvious greys and colour my hair at home every couple of months. I decided to buy this because it has no ammonia. The instructions were clear and easy to use. There was no unpleasant smell like some other brands. The mixture was not too drippy and easy to spread. However I didn't find the product to be any less drying that other permanent hair dyes on the market. It also only gave me about 70% grey coverage. The good thing about this product is that there is a generous amount of product and I only needed one pack on my long hair, unlike some of the other brands.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Colour used: 10.0 Very light blonde\n\nThis is my go-to colour for lightening my medium blonde hair.  I don't need a lot of lift and I love the fact that my hair is always soft and shiny when I've used it.  If you have dark hair, then it definitely won't give the result on the box, but for already medium to light hair, you'll end up with a good colour.\n\nThe smell is not overpowering or unpleasant (if you're used to hair dye) and the Garnier colours generally do smell quite nice.\n\nThis colour does have gold tones, so if you prefer a cooler blonde, I would recommend a purple toner afterwards.\n

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a serial home dyer. Dark hair and ‘stress’ roots (particular post pregnancy) are a combination from my nightmares so a quick dye here and there stops me hiding from the mirror! My usual brand is now a root touch up or a mousse product purely for convenience and time as my little one keeps me busy most of my waking hours. Returning to Olia was like meeting an old friend. Minimal hair colour scent, lovely smooth application, amazing quantity for my long and and a beautifully even and shiny result. My roots are banished until they grow back and I am left with natural looking and luminous colour

Yes, I recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thought I'd give this a go to try and sort the greys and take my hair back to a more natural colour after the purple. The shape of the bottle makes for very easy application and the hole in box for holding application bottle is a great idea for ease of mixing dye. The dye itself is slightly runny so be sure to be careful when applying, one of the main things I like is that there is no awful smell, in fact it actually smells nice, no sore head or stinging eyes. The aftercare conditioner helps leave hair shiny and silky , covered the old colour brilliantly though if you have longer hair would recommend using two boxes, will be checking out the colour range as I'll definitely be using this again.
